Cancún's Hotel Zone is a 22-km ribbon of white sand wedged between the turquoise Caribbean and the Nichupté Lagoon — resorts down the middle, water on both sides. The airport is 15-20 minutes away and the nights run long. It's still the most practical launch point for the Riviera Maya.
